Who We Are

Odyssey Family Counseling Center is a community-based nonprofit organization established in 1973, offering quality, evidence-based treatment for substance abuse and various mental health issues in greater Atlanta. Our licensed therapists specialize in a wide variety of mental health concerns and represent a range of disciplines including counseling, social work, psychology, and marriage and family therapy. Most importantly, they are all dedicated to the population we serve.

Charles Releford, JR., CPM

Charles C. Releford, Jr., serves as the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing senior staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services across diverse sectors. He collaborates with a dynamic board of directors to guide the organization’s vision, manages budgets, and identifies funding opportunities to support the agency's mission.

Charles holds a B.A. in Psychology from Morehouse College, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Fisk University, and is a Certified Public Manager (CPM) through the Carl Vinson Institute at the University of Georgia.

His robust career includes leadership roles such as Chief of Staff for the Fulton County Department of Health and Senior Vice President of the Atlanta Urban League. At Morehouse School of Medicine, he held positions as Department Administrator for Psychiatry, Director of the CORK Institute of Alcohol and Drug Abuse and served as a faculty instructor in Psychiatry.

Charles thrives on the daily challenges and opportunities that demand all his skills. Among his proudest achievements as the CEO of Odyssey are securing two multi-year federal grants to enhance violence prevention and school-based mental health services in the local community.

Outside of work, Charles enjoys playing the saxophone—a passion he has had since the fourth grade, continuing through his time in the marching band at Morehouse College.

Di-Anne is the Operations and Corporate Compliance Manager and joined Odyssey in 2017. She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy with a concentration in Leadership and Public Administration from Walden University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Valdosta State University. Di-Anne’s experience in the behavioral mental health, non-profit field expands 20 years. She has a passion for organization and creating processes and policy for Odyssey.

Adryane joined Odyssey in 2015 as the Utilization and Corporate Compliance Manager. In 2020, she became the Adult Service Coordinator, to which she brings almost 20 years of experience working in the substance abuse and mental health field. She is responsible for managing odyssey’s adult programs and providing support to the Adult Program clinicians. Adyrane is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has a master’s degree from Georgia State University in Professional Counseling.

Stephanie is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and holds her master’s degrees in Social Work and Business Administration. She has been the Development Director for Odyssey since January 2020. During her career, Stephanie has spent time on both the program and administrative sides: implementing many educational and support programs as well as community events, fundraisers and capital campaigns. As a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), and Partners-in-Policy Making Graduate, Stephanie is dedicated to setting standards in philanthropy that protect the constituent, donor, and organization.

"Pam holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kennesaw State University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Governors State University in Illinois. Her Bachelor’s Degree is in Economics from Northern Illinois University. As the Marketing/Community Outreach Manager, Pam represents Odyssey to the behavioral mental health community in the Metro-Atlanta and surrounding service areas. She uses her experience in marketing and community outreach to build and maintain collaborative relationships with referring and other community agencies and secures Odyssey’s brand. Pam develops promotional activities to increase community awareness of the services provided by Odyssey. As a therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Pam has a broad scope of therapeutic experience including working with children, adults, adolescents, families, couples, and groups.  She joined Odyssey in 2015"

Debbie has been with Odyssey since 2011 where she began as the Intake Coordinator and now serves as Odyssey’s Human Resource/Billing/Office Manager. She is responsible for the administrative functions associated with onboarding new staff, performing HR duties, as well as processing billing claims. She is passionate about Odyssey’s mission and believes that no job big or small contributes to the “big picture” and helps to make a difference in the lives of others.

Marie is the Accounting Manager at Odyssey, with 37 years of experience with for-profit and non-profit organizations. She received formal education at Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical college, both in Nashville, Tennessee. Marie has received professional training and certifications in areas related to accounting, parenting, and life skills. Her responsibilities at Odyssey include managing accounts receivable, payable and payroll.

Tene' M. Rose serves as the Client Support Services Manager, where she ensures the center runs efficiently while fostering a positive and welcoming experience for both clients and staff. Her role encompasses oversight of front desk operations, medical records management, intake processes, and scheduling, all of which are vital to the smooth delivery of care.

With over 20 years of expertise in behavioral health and substance abuse, Tene' has developed a reputation for her attention to detail and client-centered approach. She is often the first point of contact for new clients, expertly guiding them through intake, insurance verification, and scheduling their initial appointments. Her work ensures each client begins their journey in a supportive, well-organized environment, reflecting her commitment to confidentiality and excellence in service.

Tene' is passionate about creating systems and processes that enhance the client experience while supporting the staff in delivering high-quality care. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to balance empathy with precision has made her an invaluable asset to Odyssey.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Tene' cherishes time with family and friends. She also has a deep love for travel, embracing opportunities to immerse herself in new cultures and broadening her perspective.

Patrice Harris, MD

Patrice A. Harris, MD, MA

Patrice A. Harris, MD, MA, a psychiatrist from Atlanta, has diverse experience as a private practicing physician, county public health officer, patient advocate and medical society lobbyist. Dr. Harris was the 174th President of the American Medical Association, the first African American woman elected to that position and is currently the Immediate Past President of the AMA.

Beyond the AMA she has held positions of leadership with the American Psychiatric Association, the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and The Big Cities Health Coalition, where she chaired this forum composed of leaders from America’s largest metropolitan health departments. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Atlanta Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement (ARCHI) and the Board of the Georgia Aids Coalition. She has also served on the Boards of Georgia NAMI and the Mental Health Association of Georgia.

Dr. Harris has been a speaker at national and international conferences and has given invited lectures and presentations on COVID-19, children’s mental health, childhood trauma, integration of mental health into overall health services, health equity, health policy and the intersection of athletics and health. She has been a guest expert on multiple national radio and television shows. Dr. Harris has received numerous awards in recognition of her service and leadership.

A fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Harris continues in private practice and currently consults with both public and private organizations on health service delivery and emerging trends in practice and health policy. She is an adjunct assistant professor in the Emory Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and an adjunct clinical assistant professor in psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine.
